I completed my education in Manchester to RIBA Part II level, where I developed strong interests in industrial reuse, housing, and socially and environmentally sustainable architecture. My Part I experience in a small practice gave me an excellent grounding in the design and management of construction projects that I hope to build on in a Part II position.
I am currently studying part-time at masters level in Climate Change Management. This has enabled me to examine the science, policy and business aspects of climate change and other environmental issues. I chose this course as an opportunity to further explore the environmental and sustainability issues I studied in architectural education that became a major personal passion. This will provide the additional specialist skills and knowledge to successfully embark on a career in this field. I intend to focus my dissertation on the impacts of climate change on cities, bringing together my architectural and sustainability interests.
